Meet Marisa, Veterinary Assistant

I recently joined Veterinary Medical Associates this past fall, but I have been in the veterinary field for almost three years. I’m finishing up my last semester at MJC for my certificate of completion of their vet tech program. Ever since I’ve been at MJC, I enjoy being part of their vet tech club, which allows me to help out my community of Modesto and help out the new students joining the vet tech program.

Since working at Veterinary Medical Associates, I’ve been learning so much and continuously growing as a technician. I didn’t see myself working with exotics, but I’m very glad and thankful to be. It has been an amazing experience to be able to work with so many animals. It’s been great learning from my more experienced coworkers and doctors. They’ve really welcomed me with open arms.

In my free time, I love to hang out with my friends and family and watch horror movies with my husband.
