Dr. Veronica Flores was born in Acapulco, on the west coast of Mexico. From a young age, she developed a love for animals and grew up surrounded by pets of various species.
She moved to Mexico City at the age of 18 to study at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine.
She began her animal medicine career volunteering as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic, and after receiving her diploma, she started practicing general medicine and emergency/critical care for exotic animals, focusing mainly on small mammals. She recently moved to California to begin her career as an associate doctor at VMA. Her favorite veterinary interests include reptile medicine, exotic small mammal care, feline medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking and cooking, and loves any activity that allows her to travel and explore nature.
